The STC National Assembly Holds its Third Periodic Meeting

 

 The administrative body of the STC National Assembly held on Wednesday its third periodic meeting in Aden, under the chairmanship of its president Gen. Ahmed Sa'eed Ben Brik and in presence if his deputy Dr. Aniss Ibrahim Luqman.

 The President of the STC National Assembly stressed the importance of this meeting which coincides with the extensive preparations witnessed in the south for celebrating the first anniversary of Aden's Historic Announcement (May 4th) and the foundation of the Southern Transitional Council (May 11th).

 Ben Brik hailed the two occasions, affirming that they constituted an important shift in the march of struggle from fields to rooms of policy.

 The President of the STC National Assembly praised the achievements made for the southern cause since the foundation of the Southern Transitional Council last year, pointing out that the southern cause has been put forward in the international forums, most notably the UN Security Council. especially the first briefing of the new international envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths.

 The President of the STC National Assembly also reviewed the results of the meeings held outside the country by the leadership of the Transitional Council, represented by president Aidroos Qasem Al-Zubaidi, with southern leaders and representatives of countries and international organisations, affirming that they were very fruitful.

 Ben Brik stressed the need of being close to the southern people and familiarized with their sufferings in order to find a way to save them from the tragedy imposed on them by the corrupt authority.

 The meeting discussed a number of topics listed on its agenda and approved the minutes of its previous meeting.
