The Secretary General of the STC Sponsors an Agreement Between the Retirees Association and the Supreme Committee of the Southern Army

The Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council Ahmad H. Lamlas received at his office in Aden on Monday representatives of the Southern Military Pensioners Association headed by Colonel Mohamad Almusalami chair of the association in Aden and Brigadier General Nasser Altaweel the Secretary-General o the association in Aden as well as a group of representatives of the Supreme Committee  of the Security and the Southern Armed Forces chaired by Major General Saleh Zonqol.

During the meeting, they reviewed the roles played by the retired military personnel over recent years, which greatly contributed to re-establishing a great part of the armed forces cadres, who were forced into retirement and have been removed from their posts in a methodical and systematic manner.Alzonqol  also highlighted the most recent activity of the committee.

Major General Alzonqol pointed to the efforts of the committee which are moving in sync with the Southern Military Pensioners Association which is a pioneer in fighting for the rights of the Southern armed forces ...  Directly apologizing for any confusion or misunderstanding which might have happened between the Military Pensioners Association and the Supreme Committee of the  Southern Armed Forces a relationship which was targeted by certain parties who aimed at causing friction between them.

Therefore the meeting resulted in the agreement to consolidate and cooperate work between the Military Pensioners Association and the Southern Supreme Committee of the Security and Armed Forces in a manner which enhances its pioneering role during the period of the Southern state.

Representatives of the Military Pensioners Association and Major General Saleh Zonqol thanked the Secretary-General of the STC Ahmad H. Lamlas for his efforts and initiative in strengthening the ties and uniting the work and coordinating all efforts for the progress of the national cause.

Present at the meeting was the member of the Presidium of the STC Mr Ameen Saleh.
