The Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council Meets the Swedish Envoy to Yemen and Libya



  The vice president of the Southern Transitional Council, sheikh Hani ben Brik met on Monday in Aden the envoy of the Kingdom of Sweden to Yemen and Libya, Peter Semneby.

  Sheikh ben Brik welcomed the Swedish envoy, conveying to him the greetings of the president of the Southern Transitional Council Major General Aidroos Qassim al-Zubaidi.

  The meeting discussed the humanitarian situation and the violations committed against the people of the South since 1994 till today by the gangs of Sana'a, the Houthi militias, and the government of Ben Dagher.

  Sheikh ben Brik gave a detailed explanation of the difficult conditions experienced by the South, including deteriorating services, human rights violations, crimes against humanity committed by Ben Dagher's government, marginalization, exclusion, cutting military salaries and rampant corruption in government departments among others, praising at the same time, the role played by the Arab coalition countries in establishing security, combating terrorism and providing services.

  For their part, a number of members of the STC Presidency explained to the Swedish envoy that the UAE Red Crescent has provided many humanitarian and medical relief supplies and presented many services in various areas after the government abandoned its duty toward citizens.

  The Swedish envoy confirmed that his country will exert efforts to solve the Yemeni crisis and to provide humanitarian assistance in order to alleviate the suffering of the people all over the country.

  The meeting was attended by the members of the STC presidency Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Dr. Sahir Ali Ahmed, Eng. Adnan Al Kaf, Fadl al-Ja'di and lawyer Niran Hasan Souki.
