The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council Holds its First Meeting
The newly appointed secretary general of the Southern Transitional Council Ahmad Hamed Lamlas held his first meeting on Saturday with the heads of the STC departments.
The meeting discussed the Secretariat's work plan for the coming period with a view to developing the Council's working mechanism and achieving the southern people's demand for independence and building their independent state.
The secretary general heard a number of observations and proposals on the work of the STC departments and stressed the importance of selecting qualified staff and identifying tasks and competencies in addition to developing all the sectors of the STC departments.
Lamlas made it clear that the mission of the secretariat is translating the decisions made by the Southern Transitional Council to actions on the ground.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Lamlas stressed the importance of the joint and concerted efforts of all the STC departments to achieve the desired goal and the aspirations of the southern people.
